Football in Serbia: The National team’s history
The history of the Serbia team is short, seeing as the country only exists independently since 2006. Previously, this team had played as part of Serbia and Montenegro, and even earlier (between 1920 and 1991) Serbia had belonged to Yugoslavia. Bearing this in mind, Serbia’s first match took place in 2006 when they beat the Czech Republic on an away game (3-1). Their first go in a World Cup as Serbia was during 2010’s South Africa edition.
In total, Serbia has participated in 11 World Cup tournaments throughout its history, if we take into account the nine times they played as part of Yugoslavia and two times with Serbia and Montenegro. So buy your tickets for the Serbian national team at Ticketbis in just a couple of clicks! And if you already have some and cannot make it to the game, do not throw the ticket away: you can sell it right here and look at the date of the next Serbian game!
