Solo albums and songs
While Shane Filan found fame along band members Nicky Byrne, Kian Egan, and Mark Feehily, the lead vocalist has also proved his worth as a solo artist. Shane Filan signed a deal with London Records after Westlife split up and spent a year looking for his individual musical style and writing his own songs. Now having three albums under his belt, the Irishman can safely say this decision proved to be fruitful. Soon after his debut album You and Me (2013) came the sophomore Right Here (2015), which featured songs like "Me and The Moon", and reached the top of the Irish Album Charts as soon as it was released.
His latest contribution comes in the shape of Love Always (2017), and includes many of Shane Filan's all-time favourite ballads, such as Bob Dylan's "Make You Feel My Love", Bangles' "Eternal Flame" and many others. If you want to see the star as he plays live concerts in a venue near you, then look no further! At Ticketbis we have the Shane Filan tickets which will enable you to enjoy live versions of songs like "Uptown Girl", "Flying Without Wings", "This I Promise You", and many more.
All about Shane Filan
Born in Sligo, Ireland, Filan became an internationally prominent figure as the lead singer and front-man of the well-loved boyband, Westlife. The band started their journey together in 1999 and enjoyed a successful career, topping charts with over 14 singles, selling 44 million records worldwide, and performing four mammoth shows in Dublin's renowned Croke Park venue. After 14 years of success, the band marked their dissolution in 2012 in front of 80,000 fans, who had the chance to say farewell to the popular boy band.
Following the international success of Westlife, Filan embarked on his solo career and shortly after released his debut album You and Me (2013). The compilation's solo single “Everything to Me” was very well received, and saw the Irish singer and songwriter shift his style towards more mainstream folk, similar to The Lumineers and Mumford and Sons.
